Our ongoing goal at JG MMA Academy is to provide our students and guests with outstanding customer service and top-notch instruction. All JG MMA classes and training sessions are led by one of our professional instructors or trainers.

JORGE GURGEL
Jorge (pronounced George) Gurgel is the lead instructor and Co-Owner of our school here in West Chester, Ohio.
Originally from Fortaleza, Brazil, Jorge came to the States as an exchange student. Jorge began his training while a student in college and now is a Second Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a certified Muay Thai Instructor under Mark Delegrotte and an active fighter for Strikeforce.
Jorge has created an training environment which breeds successful competitors including UFC Fighters Rich Franklin, Dustin Hazelett and his wife, Zoila Gurgel, among others. Jorge has dedicated his life to training to be the best and growing a school for students to learn and practice the martial arts that make MMA today. His dedication to our school, our instructors and our students is what makes JG MMA Academy the best Mixed Martial Arts School in the Mid-West.
